Ealing Primary Teaching School Alliance

Wood End Infants is a happy, vibrant and welcoming place for all members of the school community. We offer a safe and stimulating environment for the children to learn in. Our aim is that every child will leave our school prepared for the next stage in their education, having begun their journey towards achieving their ambitions.

Wood End Infant School is a four form entry school, set in lovely grounds with first- class facilities including an ICT suite; Art, Design and Technology room; a library; a music room; and rooms to facilitate small group learning.  We have a 100 place nursery which, in September 2015 will become the first school in Ealing to offer full time nursery places. In recognition of the needs of our school community, we offer a complete wrap around service with an on-site breakfast club and after school club. We also offer a range of extra-curricular after school clubs.

The school was judged to be ‘Good’ by Ofsted at our last inspection. They found that ‘all groups of pupils make good progress, resulting in standards that are above the national average’.

Every child at Wood End Infant School is encouraged and supported to be the best that they can be. In partnership with our parents and carers we teach our children to be happy, responsible and confident citizens of the future. Every child is provided with the opportunity to develop their full potential, independence, curiosity and a love of learning. We embrace and celebrate the diversity of our school, where respect and tolerance are central to our ethos.

We are very proud to be a UNICEF Rights Respecting School. A rights-respecting school is a community where children’s rights are learned, taught, practiced, respected, protected and promoted. We are also an Eco-School and have achieved silver status.

The school provides high quality, innovative and personalised professional development for staff and also for other schools both in and outside the borough, which has led to improved outcomes for pupils.

Joining the Teaching Alliance provides us with the opportunity to share, develop and embed outstanding practice and to work in new directions alongside our alliance partners and other professionals within the borough.
