All staff share responsibility for the pastoral care of pupils. We aim to provide a caring, supportive environment to which everyone in the school contributes.
Each child has a special relationship with their own class teacher / teaching assistant attached to the class. Welfare assistants and office staff also provide pastoral support. Senior members of staff maintain an overview and are called upon for additional support and advice by children, parents and staff. Children also have the opportunity to speak to a counsellor at the Place to Talk. Those children with significant emotional issues may possibly have weekly therapy at Place to Be (P2B). Parents are notified of any concerns at the earliest opportunity and we promote a close partnership between home and school at all times.
If you have any concerns please notify the class teacher at the end of the day or make an appointment prior to the start of the school day.
If required, outside agencies e.g. School Health Advisor, Educational Social Worker, Educational Psychologist can be called upon.
