Morning Playtime & Lunchtimes
Every child is supplied with a piece of fruit as part of the National School Fruit Scheme. As part of the healthy schools initiative children may bring in a ‘sport’ top bottle with water to drink which must be clearly marked with their name. They will be able to keep this in the classroom and ‘sip’ water during the day.
Every child who attends the school is entitled to a free school meal; all meals are prepared freshly on-site in our own kitchen and meet all the nutritional guidelines as set out in the statutory healthy eating requirements. Each day there is a choice of a vegetarian and non-vegetarian main meal as well as a jacket potato or sandwich option. We also offer halal options twice a week. There is a 3 week cycle of meals. If you would like your children to change between packed lunch and school meals, please let a member of the office team know. Children can have a school meal every day of the week or on certain days of the week.

If you wish to send your child to school with a packed lunch please ensure that it is clearly marked with their name and class. Packed lunches must not include cans, glass containers, fizzy drinks or sweets. Nuts or peanut butter are not allowed in school as some of the children have severe allergies.
School Meal Supervisory Assistants are employed to supervise the children during the lunch break.
