The Parent and Staff Association
The Parent Staff Association (PSA) is a group of parents, carers and staff who work together to provide additional resources for the school; support to the school with special events; and help improve the environment in which our children are educated. We do this by organising fund raising events throughout the year.
If your child attends Wood End Infants, then you are already a member of the PSA.
We would love for some more of our parents and carers to get involved in the events that we run, if you are able to help in any way please let a member of the school office team know.
During the year we host the following events:
- International Afternoon
This is held in October – it is an event where we celebrate the many different cultures that make up our wonderful school. It is a fabulous event that brings together the whole school community.
- Winter Fayre
This is held at the beginning of December – children and adults alike can take part in different activities and try their luck on the many stalls such as the tombola. Last year the fayre was opened by Father Christmas himself!
- Summer Fayre
This is usually the largest of the events – the date for this year’s fayre is Saturday 2nd July 2016. We shall be sending out information during the spring term and will be looking for helpers.
- Year 2 leavers disco
We also host a leavers disco for our year 2 children in July and present them with personalised t-shirts as a memento of their time at our school.
The PSA also get involved in various activities throughout the year – such as helping Father Christmas to meet all the children at school, serving refreshments at our concerts and helping to run the school library.
The money raised this year will be spent on buying Learn Pads. These are specially designed tablets to be used in schools to enrich the children’s learning experiences and help accelerate their progress.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming you to the next event.
