School reopens for all children in Years 1 and 2 on Tuesday 2nd September 2014
Dear Parents and Carers,
On the last day of term we said goodbye to our year 2 children, will lots of good-luck and best wishes as they leave us and get ready to continue their learning journey.
We have also said ‘Bon Voyage’ to Mrs Jones who is leaving us to be the Nursery Leader in a school nearer to her home. To Mrs Liddle who is relocating to be closer to her family and take up a position as Deputy Headteacher; and Miss Lennon who has been covering Maternity Leave. I would like to say a very big thank-you for all their hard work and wish them well for the future.
It is going to be a very busy summer for members of Team Wood End as Mrs Browne is expecting her baby in August and Miss Chapman is getting married! An early ‘Congratulations’ to both of them.
On the last day of term, 68 children were presented with scooters or pogo-sticks for achieving 100% attendance – my challenge to all of our families is to make that an even bigger number next year!
I hope that all our families have a very enjoyable and safe summer holiday and look forward to hearing about the children’s adventures when they return.
