Wood End Infant School

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you know, there was an election in school on the day of the general election; the purpose was to decide which charities the school would support in the coming year.  Classes selected a charity and during a special assembly gave their reasons why their charity should be voted.  Over 360 pupils, staff and visitors were all given a ballot paper and they had two votes, the winners were announced on Tuesday and they are:

  • UNICEF
  • Children In Need
  • British Heart Foundation

Details of how we shall support these charities will be sent out at the beginning of the new academic year.

As we approach the half-term break, may I take this opportunity to wish you all an enjoyable holiday.  School will close at the usual time on Friday 22nd May and will reopen for pupils on Tuesday 2nd June.

Kind regards,
