Dear Parents and Carers,

On Tuesday 14th July we celebrated the school’s 80th birthday. The day started with a very special assembly that was attend by The Mayor of Ealing and her Consort. We then had an indoor picnic, with birthday cake, at lunchtime. In the afternoon many past pupils and staff along with current families visited the wonderful exhibition in the school hall that showcased key events of the last 8 decades. A memory box and a new tree were planted so that future members of Team Wood End will be able to remember everyone who took part in the celebrations. Please click here to read about the day.

On Thursday morning our Year 2 children will perform their leavers concert, we are very proud of all of their achievements and wish them all well as they continue their learning journeys.

On Friday we shall be presenting attendance prizes to all those children who achieved 100% attendance. We shall also be saying good-bye to 5 members of staff; Mrs. Jeni Blair, Miss Thea Norton, Mrs. Dipti Pindoria, Miss Charlotte Thorn and Miss Zoe Rumbles. May I take this opportunity to thank them all for their hard work and dedication to the school and wish them well in their new roles.

The school will close at 2.15 p.m. on Friday 17th July and will re-open on Monday 7th September for all Year 1 and Year 2 children.

May I wish you all a very happy, safe & restful summer break.

Ofsted Parent ViewKind regards,

Ms Lucy Rodgers
